AUCKLAND,NZ: Penisimani Masiva Nau celebrated his 95 birthday last Saturday with a buffet dinner attended by families, kÄinga, friends and fellow churchgoers at St Edmund Hillary College Hall, Otara.
While the Pacific Islandersâ life expectancy is 74 and that many who reach 70s experience health issues Nau is healthy and does not have any regular medical condition.
Among family gathered are his 4 children, Semisi Nau, PolokolÄ Nau Afungia and Penieli Nau.
Semisi and Penieli have just arrived from USA.
Nau has a good sense of humour and everyone in the gathering was surprised when he was accompanied into the dance floor where he was dancing to the music with members of his families.
His mum is LÄ«sita TÄkai TuÊ»ivailala from Matamaka, Tonga and his dad was Viliami Nau of âUiha and Matamaka.
Nau married  Viola Tauheluhelu and they have 9 children Semisi Nau (m),  Viliami Nau (m),  Sione Kamipeli Nau (m), PolokolÄ Nau Afungia (f), Tisiola Halahala (f), Leiola Nau(pekia ) (f), Vai Tali Ki Langi Tonga(f), Susiâana FeÊ»aomoeata(f) and  Penieli Nau(m).
