Kiwi boy killed in Fiji shooting

A 6 year-old New Zealand boy  who was killed in a shooting incident in Fiji is  yet to be named.

The incident was reported by Fijilive to have happened at the village of Sabeto Hill and the boy died hours later in hospital while another 14 year old boy is in a critical condition.

According to the report the boy, who is from Auckland and his family were in Lautoka on a trip to see a house constructed there.

Fijilive said that the family heard a gunshot while they were on the site and rushed to find the two boys seriously injured.

The gun is said to be owned by a man who accompanied the family.

The gun owner is in custody and police interviewed constructors who were at the scene.
