Earthquake 3.9 felt in Auckland

An earthquake of 3.9 magnitude  was felt by Aucklanders today around 4:05pm

It caused small shakings  but strong enough to panic some residents.

The tremor was reported to be occurred at a depth of 6 km and was felt as far as 15 km north-east Auckland.

It was moderate according to GeoNet.

A mother face booked her daughter’s calling “The house is moving mum”.

The quake fell right on Monotapu Island by the Rangitoto Island.
